Lost in the aftermath of the Broncos losing to the Raiders at home AGAIN is the fact that Sebastain Janikowski tied a Broncos record on our home field.
Former Broncos place kicker Jason Elam tied the NFL record for field-goal distance with a 63 yarder back in October of 1998. he shared the distinction with Tom Dempsey of the 1970 Saints. Now three players share the record. Just another head-slapper of a reason that the evening of September 12, 2011 was a dismal one for the Broncos organization.
Losing at home to the Oakland Raiders is an unforgivable sin. It’s 2010 all over again, you guys. John Fox’s Denver Broncos looked frighteningly familiar in a disaster of a debut on National TV.
What went wrong? The better question is “what didn’t?”

Our own John Reidy is among the best Sports Columnists in Colorado. His column, Jock Itch, appears every Tuesday at the AV Club Denver / Boulder.
In this week's edition John goes on record with some of his predictions for the Broncos' 2011 season.
"The humiliating defeat to the Raiders last season not only sealed Josh McDaniels’ fate, but completely soured an entire fan base on the Broncos in general. Beating the Raiders—not only in this upcoming Monday night match up, but roundly in the division—will be a small victory that will have the most profound effect"

The Broncos have released CB Perrish Cox. As @Cheryltweedy put it, now he can go be innocent-until-proven-guilty somewhere else.
Never let John Reidy have the last word - unless it's on Tim Tebow.
Our resident Sport Columnist is back at this week with another great peice at the AV Club Denver / Boulder.
Reidy closes the book of the pre-season hype surrounding Tim Tebow:
"It reminded me of how everyone reacted to the Tiger Woods scandal, with the main difference being Woods turned out to be a real fucking jerk."Click HERE to visit the AV CLUB

Will the Broncos play in Sports Authority Field in 2011? Is it to late to name the stadium after a dispensary?
