San Francisco VS New Orleans (-3.5)
The Mighty ‘Niners find themselves home underdogs with Drew Brees and the Saints’ ridiculous offense coming to town. Brees has been simply unstoppable this season. He shattered Dan Marino’s single season passing record in what has arguably been an MVP year for him. The ‘Niners, however, are known as a defensive team and the have the home field. Candlestick is an out-door facility which can slow down the Saints, although the forecast is calling for 60 degree weather in the Bay Area.
Colin’s pick: New Orleans -3.5
Reidy's pick: New Orleans -3.5
Denver @ New England (-13.5)
Tim Tebow rakes his show on the road for this round. The Broncos travel to Gillette Stadium to face the Patriots who are rested up after earning themselves a bye week for finishing as the 1 seed in the AFC. Denver gave New England a fight early in the previous meeting between the two clubs, for a little while, anyway. Then the Patriots pulled away. Few are predicting a Denver win in this one but the line is huge. If the Broncos play well they should cover.
Colin’s pick: Denver +13.5
Reidy's pick: Denver +13.5
Houston @ Baltimore (-7.5)
With their third-string QB leading the way, the Texans head into Bodymore, Murderland to confront the Ravens, the AFC’s #2 seed, who are coming off their playoff bye. Both teams are noted for defense, so expect a fairly low scoring affair. Although, both squads feature potential hall-of-fame runners in Ray Rice and Arian Foster. Should be a good one.
Colin’s pick: Houston +7.5
Reidy's pick: Houston +7.5
NY Giants @ Green Bay (-7.5)
Eli Manning has elevated his game and is now considered to be among the “Eli”te signal callers in the game. Packers QB Aaron Rodgers isn’t among the elite. He is the elite. The Packers are coming off a bye having secured the top seed in the NFC and have every intention of winning the Superbowl. The last game of the weekend should be a barn-burner.
Colin’s pick: NY Giants +7.5
Reidy's pick: Green Bay -7.5
