Cleveland @ Pittsburgh (-14) *Thursday Night*
Peyton Hillis, he of the Madden curse, should be active for the Browns on Thursday night as they travel to Heinz Field to take on the hated Pittsburgh Steelers who are going to fucking destroy them.
Colin’s pick: Pittsburgh -14
Indianapolis @ Baltimore (-16.5)
The Colts made it interesting against New England in week 13, easily covering the 20 point spread. Can Dan Orlovsky and Co keep it rolling against the mighty Ravens? It’s a mighty big line, you guys.
Colin’s pick: Indianapolis +16.5
Reidy's pick: Ravens -16.5
Houston @ Cincinnati (-3)
The Texans seem to be getting along OK with their third string QB, TJ Yates. Can they get it done without Andre Johnson, too? We will find out this weekend as they head into Ohio to face the Bengals who are desperately clinging to playoff contention. This is a big game in the AFC.
Colin’s pick: Cincy -3
Reidy's pick: Cincy -3
Oakland @ Green Bay (-11)
The Packers, who hope to be the first undefeated team since the 1972 Miami Dolphins, host the Raiders this week in what should be a black and silver blood bath. Broncos fans certainly hope that it will be.
Colin’s pick: Green Bay -11
Reidy's pick: Green Bay -11
Kansas City @ NY Jets (-10)
The Tyler Palko show flies in to take on the desperate NY Jets this week. The Jets need wins in order to stay in the post-season picture. Hosting the depleted Chiefs can’t hurt their cause.
Colin’s pick: Kansas City +10
Reidy's pick: NY Jets -10
Minnesota @ Detroit (-8)
The Lions, at 7-5, are currently on the outside of the playoff picture looking in at the Falcons who are also 7-5 but hold the wild-card tie breaker. Detroit must win this home tilt VS the Vikings who have nothing left to play for but pride.
Colin’s pick: Detroit -8
Reidy's pick: Detroit -8
Tennessee VS New Orleans (-3.5)
The Saints are road favorites in week 14 as they travel to face the Titans who, at 7-5, are doing battle for a wild-card spot. It’s a huge game for Tennessee who’s superstar running back, Chris Johnson seems to have gotten back on track for a 1,000 yard season.
Colin’s pick: New Orleans -3.5
Reidy's pick: New Orleans -3.5
Philadelphia @ Miami (-3)
Well, look. The Dolphins are finally favored. The rest of the AFC caught a real break when Miami started the season 0-7 because, since then, they have been blowing teams out one after the other. They are 4-8 but they are good. Tony Sparano may even get a shot at another season. This week they host the most disappointing team in the NFL, the Eagles, who should have Mike Vick back for this one.
Colin’s pick: Philadelphia +3
Reidy's pick: Miami -3
The Patriots march into Washington this week to take on the Redskins who have discovered a gem in running back Roy Helu. Will his emergence be enough to keep Tom Brady and company from lighting them up in front of their remaining fans?
Colin’s pick: New England -8
Reidy's pick: New England -8
Carolina VS Atlanta (-2.5)
The Falcons look to hold off the Lions, the Giants and the other NFC teams who wish to bump them from their current playoff position as they head into Charlotte to face Super Cam Newton and the Panthers. This one doesn’t mean much to the Panthers, who are nothing more than spoilers at this point. It means a lot to the Falcons, though.
Colin’s pick: Carolina +2.5
Reidy's pick: Atlanta -2.5
Jacksonville @ Tampa Bay PICK EM
There’s no line on this one. No real reason to watch, either, unless you are starting MJD in your fantasy playoffs.
Colin’s pick: Jacksonville (why not?)
Reidy's pick: Tampa Bay (because you're wrong)
Arizona @ San Francisco (-4)
The Cardinals managed to shock the Cowboys last week. Can they go into San Fran and surprise the ‘Niners, too?
Colin’s pick: San Francisco -4
Reidy's pick: San Francisco -4
Chicago @ Denver (-3.5)
The Broncos are favorites! Huzzah! The Bears come to Denver without Jay Cutler, without Matt Forte and without much of a chance of a win. Can the Broncos score against the Bears defense?
Colin’s pick: Denver -3.5
Reidy's pick: Denver -3.5
Buffalo @ San Diego (-7)
The Chargers rediscovered their offense last week. It’s too little, too late, for San Diego, though. They aren’t eliminated from playoff contention but they are getting really close.
Colin’s pick: San Diego -7
Reidy's pick: San Diego -7
NY Giants @ Dallas (-3.5)
NBC got themselves a doozie for the night game on Sunday – definitely the game of the week. The Giants head into Dallas with an NFC East title on the line for both teams. New York gave the Packers all they could handle last week. The Cowboys must be shaking in their boots.
Colin’s pick: NY Giants +3.5
Reidy's pick: Dallas -3.5
St Louis @ Seattle (-5.5)
Really, ESPN? This is the Monday Night prime time game? Yeesh.
Colin’s pick: Seattle -5.5
Reidy's pick: Seattle -5.5
