Ever since Denver was eliminated from the playoffs, Nuggets fans had been hearing that Andre Miller either wanted to start at point guard for a team or be moved to a contender. Today we hear the opposite.
Benjamin Hochman over at the Post reports that Andre wants to remain a Nugget. Ben spoke to Masai who told him: "Andre Miller told us plain and simple that he wants to come back and play here".
Miller, who is an unrestricted free-agent, had grumbled earlier this season about coming off the bench behind Ty Lawson but, according to Masai, has realized that there are benefits to being a back up: "He even said to me that Ty (Lawson) helped him, because the minutes he played, he took care of his body, he didn't play as many minutes."
It would be great to see Miller stick around. He's not the most fiery character but his experience showed in the playoffs.
