Broncs to play in London, Guvuhnah. Won't lose a home game.
The NFL continues to insist upon regular season games being played in Europe each and every season which incredibly unfair for the fans of whichever team is dubbed the "home" team. In this case that team is the San Fransisco 49ers. In 2010 they will only get 7 regular season games at Candlestick Park.
The 'Niners and your Denver Broncos are slated to clash at London's Wembley Stadium on Halloween night, 2010. According to Lindsay Jones of the Denver Post: "The game will mark the first time in morethan 50 years that the Broncos will play a regular season game outsideof the United States. The team has previously played in sevenexhibition games in foreign countries, including Mexico, Australia,Japan, Spain and Germany."
Pat Bowlen is jazzed according to his official statement. "I'm excited for the game in London and am thrilled that the Broncos will be part of the NFL's continued international growth." Bowlen, of course, is going to be able to have his Yorkshire Pudding and eat it, too, since the Broncos won't be losing the revenues from any of their regularly-scheduled 8 home games.
It's kind of strange that the "National" football league believes that the rest of the world is going to catch on to American football when everybody knows that Futbol is, and always will be, the world's game. The NFL still doesn't have a team in L.A. for heaven's sake. Stranger, still is the idea of football on Halloween. Who's going to take my kids out trick-or-treating?

The treat will be for them to get to go to another country. The trick will be that they get left behind while we go to the game.

I am so excited by the news!!! Travelled from the UK, specifically to see my first "live" Broncos game at Invesco in 2004. To have them come to the UK is awsome. (You would be surprised how many of us Brits follow Football passionately.) I loved my holiday in Denver - everyone made us feel so welcome. Invesco (and a Denver win) was incredible and the tailgaters made us feel like we were with family. When you see the game I hope that Wembley will be a sea of Orange and Blues. Respect from the British fans - PJ
PS Got to meet the (then) Rookie DJ Williams #55 on that trip - hope he will be showing continued magic for the Broncos in October
